Emmerdale fans angry as Lachlan’s sexual assault is defended in the show

Except he wasn't a confused, messed up little boy because he's still a confused, messed up big boy and there's not really any sign of him slowing down any time soon. Last night in the Dale, the subject of Lachlan's sexual assault of Alicia when he was 14-years-old came up. The teenager had taken advantage of Alicia's kindness and attacked her, seemingly believing that the two of them were in a relationship. An indisputably negative situation. However, yesterday Rebecca tried to make excuses for Lachlan, saying that he was just confused and messed up when he assaulted Alicia and that everything was pretty much OK now and everyone should just get over it. Right, so. This came after Priya admitted that she was afraid Lachlan was going to attack her too. And although Lachlan was actually planning to confront Priya because he thought she had seen him attempt to murder Freddie, her fear was still justified and should have been treated accordingly.
