Having a bad morning can really affect your mood for the rest of the day but there are some things you can do to try to make those first couple of hours go well. We’re not saying that these tips will prevent your morning from being stressful but they might make a tiny difference. Also, a good few of them are recommended by experts which means we have faith that they could actually work. We’re willing to give them a try anyway!
Get some fresh air This is a sure-fire way to clear your head for the day that's ahead. We're not saying that you have to sit outside but maybe open a window whilst eating breakfast. Stretch According to a Harvard psychologist by the name of Amy Cuddy, stretching boosts your confidence and therefore your mood. via GIPHY Breathe Yes, it's an obvious one but it can be worthwhile taking a few deep breaths with your eyes closed before actually getting up and going. Drink water Nutritional therapist Elsa Jones recommends drinking a glass of water before your tea or coffee in the morning to combat dehydration and cleanse your system. A splash of cold water It's not just good to drink but giving your face a splash of cold water or running your wrist under the cold tap for a couple of seconds can can help waken you up! Eat chocolate Believe it or not but experts recently claimed that having something sweet first thing can help you lose weight, keep cravings at bay and give you an energy boost. Listen to music Get that brain of yours working and put a smile on your face with a few of your favourite tunes.
