Respect: What breastfeeding your child in public SHOULDN’T look like

An Israeli photographer and mum has brilliantly illustrated what breastfeeding in public SHOULDN'T look like, in a side-by-side image that shows her pretending to breastfeed in a bathroom, and her husband posing with a plate of pasta in the same bathroom.

Posting the picture to Facebook in response to a photo challenge called Make a Statement, run by 52Frames, Tamar Shugert captioned the photo, "I should feed my baby where???" The mum of two, who is pregnant with her third child, also says, "My baby eating is not a gross side-effect of having children. If you are not willing to eat your lunch in the bathroom, then don't expect me to feed my kid there!" Well said and perfectly illustrated. Hopefully the image, which has now gone viral, will help increase support and respect for breastfeeding women everywhere.
