This is incredible.

New Zealand Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, has made history by being the first female world leader to attend the United Nations with their child. The PM brought her newborn daughter Neve with her to New York for the Nelson Mandela peace summit. Last week the rules were tweaked in New Zealand to allow the prime minister or ministers to travel with a nanny on overseas assignments, and have this covered by the taxpayer but Ardern insisted that the family pay for their own expenses. Ardern spoke at New York's Unicef social good summit, about her commitment to ending child poverty and making New Zealand the best place in the world to be a child. Ardern has taken the first step in making places like the UN more open to working mothers and hopefully it will create a ripple effect that will carry down through all organisations.
