Umbilical cord art is becoming a trend (and this celebrity is leading the way)

The umbilical cord – when you think about it – is rather magnificent.

It is what connects you physically to your baby from all the time they are growing inside you until the day they are born. Once they are born, however, this purposefully made organ just becomes surplus and the vast majority of us are happy to leave it behind once we leave the delivery room. However, you might be interested to know that more and more mums are not only opting to bring it with them when they leave – but they also have it turned into a keepsake – or very intimate piece of art. Rochelle Humes gave birth to her second child last week. She welcomed a baby girl, Valentina Raine Humes, into the world with husband Marvin. Rochelle has been sharing some intimate moments with her baby on social media.

She also shared something that will either disgust you or delight you... a picture with some new art made from the baby's umbilical cord. Spelling out the word 'Love', she proudly displayed the new piece of art.
