Singer Hillary Scott has opened up about the heartache of going through a miscarriage last year and how her music helped her to deal. The 30-year-old, who is in the band Lady Antebellum, revealed in an interview with Good Morning America that she feels that it’s an issue that is not talked about.

Best start to a day that is truly taking my breath away! ??☺️??

She said: “This is something that is still not talked about very often. I also feel like there’s this pressure that you’re supposed to be able to snap your fingers and continue to walk through life like it never happened.” Hillary, who has a 2-year-old daughter called Eisele Kaye with her husband Chris Tyrell, added that focusing on writing songs helped her. Speaking about her latest single, Thy Will, she said: “I wrote this song in the middle of experiencing everything that comes with a miscarriage so it was my most raw place that I could've ever been when this song truly poured out of me.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAmh3yvmzXs Video via YouTube/HillaryScottVEVO As well as her music, the experience has also changed her as a mum. Hillary explained: “I’m a different mom to her now… I hug her a lot tighter.” If you or someone you know has been affected by miscarriage, more information and support services are available at The Miscarriage Association of Ireland website here.   Top image via Instagram/hillaryscottla
