Is This The Most Dedicated Midwife In The World?

Midwives are there for you during one of the most important times of your life and they probably know things about you that not even your best friends know, which is why having one that you can rely on and trust is vital. Well, we think it's safe to say that this midwife certainly ticks those boxes. Cathy Allen Rude is a midwife in Houston, Texas, which has been hit by severe flooding in recent days. As well as causing damage, it has also thrown residents' daily lives into chaos. But Cathy didn't let the fact that her street was badly flooded stop her from getting into her clinic last Tuesday. According to The Telegraph, she had a patient who was overdue and was determined to be there for her when she went into labour. After spotting her neighbour Celeste floating on an inflatable swan, she asked her if she could get a lift. Thankfully, Celeste agreed and Cathy was able to float over to a pickup truck and make her way to the birth centre. She posted a picture on her Facebook page and wrote: "Midwives will do anything to get to a birth! Riding a swan to get off my flooded street and make it to the birth center! Thanks,Celeste!
