Revealed… The Best “Bogan” Baby Names

A few years ago, journalist Sabrina Rogers-Anderson from Australia compiled a list of the best “bogan” baby names. It apparently caused serious controversy at the time but that hasn’t stopped her from putting together another list for this year. On Kidspot, she explains: “I believe we all have a bit of bogan in us that we should embrace and celebrate. In that spirit, I present to you the 2016 edition of my best bogan baby names list.” According to the Oxford English Dictionary, bogan is a slang term meaning “an uncouth or unsophisticated person, regarded as being of low social status.” Some of these names are an amalgamation of two names while others simply change up the spelling of popular names.
