Let's be real from the outset: we're not sold on this one yet. A tech company have launched an IndieGoGo campaign to raise $80,000 to fund the production of a self-pushing baby buggy. Designed 'for urban life and jogging' the SmartBe features an electric engine that will push the stroller while you’re shopping or running. abiotxrahyhmzohwyr8l Sensors and a Smartphone app keep it within safe reach, the technology 'adding an invisible bond of security' and the parent can be connected to the buggy at all times via a wrist strap, but we'd still feel uneasy watching it trundling along on its own carrying some very precious cargo. https://vimeo.com/152167800 What we are excited about is the SmartBe's features; not only does it boast its own bottle warmer, this buggy also has a wireless speaker so you can blast your tunes on long walks as well as a phone charger, a theft alarm, an automatic canopy and a webcam and microphone for monitoring your baby. With 25 days left in the campaign and 16% of their target amount in the bag, it's looking like we might be seeing the self-propelling buggy sooner rather than later.
