A 44-year-old mum had a perfect response after she was told that she was too old to breastfeed.

Mum-of-two Stefania Giraldi, who runs the Mama's World blog, told how she has yet to wean her three-year-old - and has often been criticised throughout her breastfeeding journey. But just when she thought she had heard all of the shocking comments, two women managed to prove her wrong. In a post on her Facebook page, she recalled how she was sitting in her doctor's waiting room when she overheard two women who were talking  about breastfeeding. She wrote:
"After 6 consecutive years of breastfeeding my children (currently bf my three years old), I though NO comments could ever shock me anymore on the topic. "And yet someone managed to do just that. Shock me with some uneducated opinion about a breastfeeding mother. "I was at a doctor's appointment when I overheard this conversation between the two ladies sitting next to me... "I am sure you are all familiar with the 'too old to breastfeed' remark - but have you ever heard it in relation to the MOTHER?"
According to the mum-of-two, the women were going on about someone they knew who - at 42-years-old - was "too old" to breastfeed. They are also said to have suggested that the woman's milk "probably wasn't good enough" because of her age - and that the baby would be better off with formula instead. Stefania explained that just a few minutes into the conversation, her daughter wanted feeding - and that she decided to use it as a chance to confront them.
"I kid you NOT, a few minutes later my daughter climbs on my lap wanting the boob ( talk about right timing), and needless to say, I granted her wish immediately. "Now, I am not one that looks for confrontations or arguments, but I couldn't resist. "Obviously the ladies noticed I was breastfeeding ( wasn't hiding), I turn to them and I tell them: "'By the way, I am 44 years old, 45 next June and my milk is perfect!' "The look on their face, priceless."
