There is a massive family fun day happening in Dublin on October 1

Just because the summer is over - doesn't mean that outdoor family-friendly events are done and dusted for the year.

And we were particularly excited to spot a great-looking city centre get-together on Sunday, October 1. The Last Picnic is taking place in the capital's Mountjoy Square and it's being organised by the Dublin City Council. All activities are free and featured attractions include music by the Dublin Concert Band, Artane Senior Band, and the St James Band. Otherwise, kids can get stuck into the likes of magic tricks, mini carousels, boxing, an inflatable football pitch, archery, rock climbing, fencing, and basketball. It all kicks off at lunchtime and runs right up until 5.30pm.
