Kids will love this homemade CLEAN rainbow mud, and so will you

Most little ones love playing with mud, but not many Mums enjoy the mess that comes with it. This recipe for CLEAN mud (yes, you read right) is a perfect outdoor or indoor activity that will keep everyone happy. Not only does it feel like the real deal but it won't make a dirty mess - just a clean one. There are more complicated recipes using grated soap and toilet paper, but this quick, no-fuss version uses just three ingredients; plus, it washes away to nothing. Ingredients:

• Bicarbonate of soda
• Water
• Food colouring

Method:

• Put about a cup of bicarbonate of soda into a bowl, then add water very slowly until you have a mud-like texture.
• Add a couple of drops of food colouring and squeeze the mud to distribute the colour.
• Once the colour is evenly distributed, form into a ball and set aside so you can make up other colours.
