A good friend recently told me one thing that really helped when her twins were born ten weeks early. She said hearing about premature babies who have grown into healthy and happy children made her believe that her own babies – now thriving ten-month-olds – could and would overcome their challenges to be OK. Quebec-based photographer, Red Methot has captured the contrast between past and present perfectly in a photo series called Les Premas, which shows portraits of children and adults posing with black-and-white pictures of themselves as premature babies. The powerful series is both intimate and uplifting.
