Got a future Picasso at home?

The Hugh Lane Gallery has a huge schedule of art workshops for children and all of them have free admission! Located in Dublin City Centre, it's a great way to get your child's creative juices flowing.

The exciting programme of art fueled events includes;

Visual Thinking Strategies Saturday, January 26, 3 pm A Visual Thinking Strategy (VTS) tour for children with Claire Halpin and for your child to have their say on the artwork in the Gallery’s collection and temporary exhibitions. Trees, Branches and Nature Sunday Sketching January 27 3-4pm During these free sketching workshops for families, you are invited to explore and respond to the collection and temporary exhibitions through discussion and drawing. Chinese New Year: Year of the Pig Saturday, February 2, 2-3pm Join artist Kathryn Maguire to make Chinese lanterns and blossom trees decorated with symbols inspired the Year of the Pig. All events are free to attend but booking is required. Most of the events are suitable for children aged over six but you can find out more details and how to book your child's place on their website.
