The official announcement has been made.

It has been announced that Prince Louis will be christened on July 9. The Kensington Palace Twitter account revealed the news just moments ago saying: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to announce that the christening of Prince Louis will take place on Monday 9th July at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace, London. "Prince Louis will be christened by The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby." This will be the first time that the public get to see the new Prince in real time since his birth. From then, Kensington Palace has only released official portraits of the newborn, choosing to keep the baby out of the spotlight until he gets a bit older. This follows on from the announcement that Meghan and Harry will take a trip to Ireland. The newly-married royals will touch down in Dublin the day after the royal christening, on July 10 and stay for one night.
