American footballer Tom Brady is facing criticism for kissing his 11-year-old son on the lips.

As part of an online documentary called Tom Vs Time, the sports star reignited the ongoing debate about parents kissing their children on the lips. A scene in the series shows Brady getting a massage when his 11-year-old son Jack comes into the shot and asks to check his fantasy football team. Brady says: "What do I get?" and his son gives him a kiss on the lips. The footballer then says: "That was like a peck," and this time Jack gives him a longer kiss on the lips. “You know Jack, everything comes with a cost, bud," says Brady as his son leaves the room. https://twitter.com/ThePplsContent/status/959605474151813121 The scene has received some criticism from football fans in the States, with many saying that it made them feel "uncomfortable." They took to Twitter to share their thoughts. https://twitter.com/RobbieVogel14/status/958441091023495169 https://twitter.com/BrettABachman/status/959219853671391232 https://twitter.com/1followernodad/status/959221749358329857 https://twitter.com/boyoyo69/status/958388216427634694 However, others didn't believe that there was anything wrong with either of the kisses. Rather, they argued that if people were feeling "uncomfortable" that was their problem, not Brady's. https://twitter.com/CarleyShimkus/status/958849441984901121 https://twitter.com/RitaPanahi/status/959185338504593408 https://twitter.com/notwokieleaks/status/959175637654220801 This is not the first time that a celebrity has been questioned for kissing their child on the lips. Olivia Wilde and David Beckham have also been criticised in the past for seemingly being too affectionate with their kids. Beckham defended his decision to kiss daughter Harper, saying that it's how he and Victoria brought their children up. https://www.instagram.com/p/BUzluYFBQJG/?utm_source=ig_embed He said:
"I got actually criticised for kissing my daughter on the lips the other day. I kiss all my kids on the lips. "Brooklyn, maybe not. Brooklyn’s 18, he might find that a little bit strange. But I'm very affectionate with the kids. It's how I was brought up and Victoria, and it’s how we are with our children.
"We want to show our kids love and we protect them, look after them, and support them, and we’re very affectionate with them."
