She gave birth to her daughter Frida this month, and turned 55 a week later.

Actress Brigitte Nielsen has opened up about becoming a mum to a newborn in her mid-50s. She told People that it took her more than ten years to conceive after freezing her eggs aged 40. "It is such a long road," she said. "What I want women to know is that everything is possible, but you have to be realistic. There was a lot of disappointment. "It’s that phone call going, ‘It’s negative.’ It’s the waiting. At times you can feel lonely, because a lot of women don’t talk to each other about it.”
However, she said that all the waiting and anguish was worth it as she now has a healthy baby daughter. “My husband and I have been wanting this so much for so many years. I finally have my little princess,” she said. “Becoming a mother is the most beautiful thing in the world.”
Brigitte already has four children from past relationships - Raoul Meyer Jr., 23, Douglas Meyer, 25, Killian Nielsen, 28, and Julian Winding, 34. She married Mattia Dessí in 2006 and this is their first child together.
