If bubbles cause as much excitement in your home as they do in mine (the mere mention of the word is enough to send my 18-month-old into a spin), this giant bubble recipe is sure to go down a treat. We think this awesome outdoor activity is just the ticket now that Summer has returned (for one day only). For the bubble liquid you will need:
  • 6 cups water
  • 1/2 cup washing up liquid
  • 2 tablespoons glycerin (usually found in chemists or the baking aisle in supermarkets)
What you need to do: Using a large bowl or pan, slowly mix the ingredients together. Let it sit for around 3 hours. For the bubble wands you will need:
  • Two straws
  • String
What you need to do: Thread a piece of string through two straws and tie the ends together so you have a frame for blowing bubbles. You can make several of different sizes to use. Main image via Twisted Threads
