Long before anyone starts googling diamonds or researching proposals, there is usually a moment when you look at your boyfriend or girlfriend and think; 'Yeah, I'd quite fancy spending the rest of my life with this person.' This week a Reddit user posed this question to fellow Redditors: 'What made you realise that you'd marry your current wife/husband?' The answers have been coming thick and fast, offering some revealing, sweet and silly insights into people's closest relationships. Here are 10 of the best answers:  1. "We were dating for several months when I was suddenly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. On the elevator ride back to the car she grabbed hold of me and began to sob uncontrollably. It was then I realized that she cared more about me than I did about myself. 3 years later we married and we've been happily married for over 5. I still get misty-eyed every time I think about that moment." - Coldarc 2. "Just got engaged! I knew I wanted to marry him when he slow danced with me in the living room to Christmas records in the summer." - Arya_Stark 3. "Just a average dinner in a restaurant when it occurred to me there was nobody else I'd rather be chatting with over dinner." -RamRun 4. "He gave up everything for me; his job, his home, his friends and family. He moved to another country to be with me. I saw how much he loved me and was committed to me. Lucky for me I love him just as much and we're closing in on 19 years together." - LGBecca 5. "Not to quote a cheesy movie but she really makes me want to be a better man." -Cpt_America27 6. "When she won an argument with me on our first night together. No anguish at all." - CoolBrit 7. "When I awoke one morning to find that she had stayed up all night playing Mario Kart." -PikMin64 8. "I no longer looked at other women and imagined getting with them myself, I had started to think about which of my friends they would be good for instead." - TheBestWifesHusband 9. "We're not married yet, but I knew I was going to ask the second that I realized that I wouldn't leave her even if she cheated on me. Sure I'd be upset, but being with her is a hundred times more important than that." - Ohh_umms_cocktails 10. "When we told her dad that she was pregnant and he told me I had to marry her." - Bob_Koozie How did you know you had found The One? Let us know on Twitter @HerFamilydotie.
