Well, this is rather frightening.

Toyota has recalled 2.43 millions cars after there appears to be a 'crash fault' in them. This effects 290,000 cars sold in Europe, 830,000 cars sold in North America and 1.25 million cars sold in Japan. According to the BBC, the recall has affected Prius and Auris models that were made between the years 2008 to 2014. In a statement, the company said in "rare situations", the fault could cause vehicles to stall when going into "failsafe" driving mode. "While power steering and braking would remain operational, a vehicle stall while driving at higher speeds could increase the risk of a crash," the statement continued. Toyota already recalled these cars in 2014 and 2015 for a variety of other reasons, however, "the remedy conducted then did not anticipate the new condition identified in this recall." If in doubt, you should contact your local dealership for more information.
