Tom Cruise has responded to a question about Suri for the first time in ages

It's not a lot but it's significant.

Tom Cruise is notoriously very private and when asked about his personal life he's not shy to ignore questions or avoid them. But this time around, when asked about his daughter Suri, he gave a very brief answer. He was being interviewed by Sydney Morning Herald when he was asked if Suri would follow in his footsteps to become an actor. He answered, "You never know, you never know." Now, although he didn't really give any sort of detail and didn't elaborate on the subject, it's the first time in a long time that he has referenced Suri in an interview. His ex-wife Katie Holmes is the primary carer of Suri, who is eleven years old. Suri is Tom's only biological child but hasn't been in regular contact since their split. Last year they had a holiday together in England for five days which marked the first time they had seen each other since Katie and Tom split in 2012.
