Storm Desmond: Teresa Mannion is the new Hero of the Nation

If you were watching the Six One news last night or were online at any stage thereafter, you will have seen Teresa Mannion's epic Storm Desmond update live from Salthill in Galway. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0MMAFKVw-g The report has picked up such huge attention because she literally looked like she was about to be blown away, and got increasingly louder and more energetic as she tried to finish her piece. Furthermore, we love that she told it like it is and described two divers off the pier in Galway as 'idiotic' for putting not only their own lives at risk during such a crazy storm, but the rescue services too in the event that they got into any difficulties.
