The Stars Of ‘50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy’ Launch A Truck Full Of Chocolate

The stars of Sky's 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy, Baz and Nancy Ashmawy, have just revealed the locations for Cadbury Chocolate's 'Cadvent Convoy'. Ireland’s favourite mother and son duo today revealed the chosen route for the chocolate-filled Christmas truck, following two weeks of public voting. Kicking off today with a large launch event in Grand Canal Dock in Dublin, the truck packed with festive surprises and events, will be delivering sugary joy across the nation, for the next twenty-four days. Each day, the cadvent convoy truck will arrive at a different location and this year, the Irish public were given the opportunity to cast their votes on where the truck should stop. Voting, which was conducted via the chocolatier's website, closed on November 28^th, with the towns receiving the highest number of votes winning a visit. At each stop along the convoy route, the truck will throw open its doors to reveal magical Christmas scenes, along with festive entertainment for the whole family. From enjoying your favourite treats, to festive performances from choirs and music acts, the company aim to spread some festive cheer and help the nation count down to Christmas. Speaking at the event today, Baz Ashmawy said:

"People across the country are in for a serious treat over the next twenty-four days – the plans for each location on the route are very cool. The Christmas period is all about bringing families together and events like these allow us to do just that. Christmas is also about remembering those who need us most and Cadbury have included some very important pit-stops along the way – such as the Aware Christmas Run in the Phoenix Park and the Barnardos Toy Appeal. We’re all about the festive spirit in our family, so we’re only too delighted to be here today to reveal the route."

Also speaking at the launch, Baz's famous mammy Nancy said:

"For the amount of times Baz has put the heart across me, he deserves a giant bag of coal for Christmas, but it is impossible to be angry with my baby boy when you see him as excited about Christmas, as he is here today."

Tricia Burke, a senior brand manager with the company, said:

"We are delighted to have Baz and Nancy here with us today. Christmas is all about bringing families together and Baz and Nancy represent a great Irish family relationship. This year, we wanted to give the Irish public the opportunity to have their say on where the convoy should go and the results have been fantastic. In the two weeks of voting, over 15,600 votes were cast, so I’d like to thank all those who took the time to log on and vote for their towns and areas."
