It's been a difficult few days.

Between not being able to travel, shops closing and unruly behaviour, we've really seen it all in the past 48 hours. Snow covered the country and we even had a curfew set, which has not happened in about 40 years in Ireland. The latest from Met Éireann shows that while snow has ceased in many areas, some counties are in for a lot of flooding as the ice melts away. "The snowfall has ceased in most areas, however on the Wicklow Mts further accumulations will occur today. Elsewhere any snow will turn to sleet & rain later this morning. "In the afternoon the rain could turn heavy in the E & S, giving a risk of local flooding due to melting snow," says the weather forecaster. "The rain will spread northwards this afternoon and this will lead to some snow melt, with a risk of localised flooding later. Temps close to freezing over Ulster, but rising to 3 to 6°C elsewhere. "Easterly winds will be moderate to fresh, but still strong along the east coast." Advice is to take it easy if you're going out and still be on high alert as grounds can still be quite slippy and dangerous. Be safe everyone.
