Sarah Ferguson says the last six months have been ‘hard’ amid Prince Andrew scandal

She says he is a "wonderful" man.

Over the past number of months, Prince Andrew as been caught up in a scandal regarding claims made by Virginia Giuffre. Last month, he gave an interview to the BBC, where he spoke about his association with Jeffrey Epstein and the accusations made against him by Virginia. However, it is heavily affecting his family; his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson and two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. Sarah has now given an interview to Vogue Arabia and said that the whole family is suffering. "The last six months have been hard on the girls and me," she said. "To see such a wonderful man go through such enormous pain. He is the best man I know. "It’s just incredible what he has done for Britain," she said before saying "it’s all nonsense." She added: "The mental health of men is important and I think it is vital to articulate that more," while alluding to the scandal. Sarah also took to Instagram after Prince Andrew's BBC interview aired and said: "Andrew is a true and real gentleman and is stoically steadfast to not only his duty but also his kindness and goodness of always seeing the best in people. "I am deeply supportive and proud of this giant of a principled man, that dares to put his shoulder to the wind and stands firm with his sense of honour and truth." She has been the only member of the royal family to speak out about the scandal.
