Restaurant praised for unisex toilet sign

A restaurant has been praised for their unisex bathroom sign. Pure Pizza in North Carolina explained that they made the decision in order “to provide a safe environment for everyone.” Larken Egleston shared the toilet notice on Twitter and it has since gone viral, receiving a very positive reaction.

The sign reads: “We have a unisex bathroom because sometimes gender-specific toilets put others into uncomfortable situations. “And since we have a lot of our friends coming to see us, we wanted to provide a place for our friends who are: “Single dads with daughters, single mums with sons, parents with disabled children, those in the LGBTQ community, adults with aging parents who may be mentally/physically disabled. “Thank you for helping us to provide a safe environment for everyone.” If you have spotted a funny, cute or inspirational sign, get in touch at rebecca.mcknight@herfamily.ie
