Police Rush Newborn Baby to Hospital After Finding It Abandoned in Bucket

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about how fast-thinking has saved an abandoned newborn baby and unfortunately we don’t think it’ll be the last. According to The Mirror, police in Colombia found a child inside a bucket covered in amniotic fluid and with the umbilical cord still attached. Officers were called to the scene after receiving a call from a member of the public. He was diagnosed with hypothermia and police are still searching for the mother. The incident apparently happened in the Santiago de Cali area of Colombia where a female officer recently saved the life of an abandoned baby girl by breastfeeding her.
