There's been an outbreak of measles in North Dublin.

The HSE has confirmed two cases in the county, and according to 98fm, it has notified all A&E and GPs in Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow. Director of Public Health, Dr Deirdre Mulholland said: “The best protection is to be fully vaccinated with 2 doses of MMR vaccine.” Measles symptoms include: • High fever • Cough • Runny nose • Red eyes • Red rash that starts on head and spread down the body- this normally starts a few days after onset of illness. It lasts about 4-7 days. • Vomiting and diarrhoea People who haven't had the MMR vaccine are being warned that measles can be highly contagious.
