Miners are still fighting to rescue toddler trapped down a well.

The two-year-old fell down the well over a week ago but the rescue team are still unable to reach him. A fresh attempt is being made to create a tunnel down to the trapped little boy. The parents of two-year-old Julen Rosello have held a vigil as miners work tirelessly to retrieve their son. Little Julen fell down the unmarked well while having a picnic with his parents. According to CBC Julen's parents lost their other son in 2017 when he died due to cardiac arrest. Now a team of experts are creating a vertical tunnel after abandoning a previous tunnel plan. The previous tunnel collapsed several times and was deemed unusable. The engineer in charge of rescue operation, Juan Lopez Escobar, said;
"No miner is left in a mine, and Julen is now considered a miner."
Despite having had no contact with the toddler since he fell, the Rosello family are continuing to hold out hope that they will be able to bring their son home safe.
