A woman has confessed to "drowning" four babies in concrete because she didn't have the money to look after them.
Mayumi Saito was arrested today in Osaka, Japan after confessing that she killed the babies between 1992 and 1997 and placed their bodies in concrete.
Osaka police have identified infant human remains in buckets found in the woman's house.
Japan Times reports that Saito had given birth to the children over a five year period but did not tell her partner that she was pregnant.
The 53-year-old said that she confessed because she felt "guilt" about not being able to look after the babies.
Saito said that she had no one to talk to at the time.
