This won’t come as a surprise to most of you.

Research has found that the workload of a mother is equal to that of someone working two and a half full-time jobs. The study took place in the US and followed 2,000 mums and found that their ‘working day’ started on average at 6.23am and didn’t end until 8.31pm. That’s nearly 60 hours more than the average working week of 40 hours. The research also found that when mothers are on their downtime, they are still doing things to benefit their children. The study was carried out by American juice company, Welch’s, and they say the results only prove how hard mums work.
“The results of the survey highlight just how demanding the role of mom can be and the non-stop barrage of tasks it consists of,” RD and Health and Nutrition Lead at Welch’s told Yahoo. “Anything that can be done to make mom’s life a little bit easier can make all the difference.”
