The best of friends.

Meghan Markle and the Queen attended a joint public engagement in Cheshire today to open a new theatre and have lunch in Chester. This is the first time that Meghan has made a royal public appearance without her husband, Prince Harry, by her side and so all eyes were on the Duchess of Sussex. The former Suits actress had nothing to fear though for herself and the Queen clearly get on like a house on fire, judging by these particular snaps anyway. The actual LOLS. They're laughing and giggling in a lot of them and it's clear they found something very amusing...we would only love to know what was going on. Anyway, Meghan chose to wear Givenchy for their big day out which is no major surprise really, given that the fashion house's creative director Claire Waight-Keller also designed Meghan's first wedding dress. Today's look was simple, a nude shift dress featuring a black belt but it's the cape effect that adds something a little different to the look. Meghan wore her hair loose instead of the messy bun we've become accustomed to in recent times and although this look is rather understated, we really like it. The royal pair travelled via the royal train and this is a method of transport that is kept for very special occasions as you'll see here.
