Brazilian artist, Flavia Carvalho has enabled women to transcend the scars of domestic abuse, Mastectomy, C-sections, birth defects and cancer, and replace them with beautiful body art... and for free. Her positive approach to scar tissue has made her personal project, 'A Pele de Flor' an International viral hit this week. The Portuguese expression 'A Pele de Flor' means Skin of the Flower. For the artist it denotes the strong feelings people experience amidst suffering and difficult times.
