There was massive upset at the Oscars last night

Well, that was awkward.

It was all going well, champagne was flowing, dresses were being worn, when a blunder of epic proportions began to unfold on Sunday night at the Academy Awards. La La land was announced Best Picture rounding off an incredible evening for the all singing all dancing motion picture. BUT WAIT! While on stage celebrating, one of the producers took a moment to look down at the envelope. Cue craziness. Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway incorrectly named La La Land best picture on Sunday night, Moonlight was the ACTUAL winner of the coveted golden statue. Beatty blamed the epic mishap on being given the wrong envelope, saying he had seen the name Emma Stone from 'La La Land' when he opened it. Speaking to a confused audience, Beatty tried to explain.

'I want to tell you what happened I opened the envelope and it said Emma Stone, La La Land and that is why I took such a long look at Faye and at you. I wasn't trying to be funny. This is Moonlight for best picture,'
