Tributes are pouring in to the family of a Lucan dad-of-three who he died in a tragic accident yesterday.  Aidan Lynam, 44, was taking part in the 'Rev-up4DSI' fundraiser for Down Syndrome Ireland when his motorbike collided with a car in Kilkee, Co. Clare on Sunday just before noon. Aidan 2 Mr Lynam, who helped raise over €1.6m for charity after coming up with the idea for the fundraiser, was celebrating the 10th year of the annual event and took the opportunity to promote it in his last tweet, sent yesterday before the team set off. Aidan Fellow motorbike enthusiast and comedian PJ Gallagher led the tributes on Twitter: pj A Down Syndrome Ireland statement read:
"It is with inexpressible grief that we learned of the death today of our dear friend and colleague Aidan Lynam. "Aidan was a much loved and valued senior member of our team at Down Syndrome Ireland, committed to his family and his work and all of our hearts are simply broken as we struggle to come to terms with this great loss."
Aidan is survived by his wife Nikki and their three children, Robyn, Jake and Harry.
