‘It’s all a bit hectic’: Kathryn Thomas is having nine bridesmaids at her wedding

If you've ever despaired at the thought of getting your sister and your best friend to agree on a dress for your own big day, spare a thought for Kathryn Thomas. The TV presenter will have nine bridesmaids by her side on the big day later this year, she's said. The 27 Dresses-esque wedding takes place this summer after she and her fiancé Padraig McLoughlin gave themselves just a couple of months to plan their nuptials. "It's all a bit hectic," she told Extra.ie. "I went from one to nine bridesmaids overnight, so when I tell you that this is ‘last-minute Mary’, that’s the truth. "We actually only decided to get married in February and the wedding is happening this summer. "I am busy ringing people up at the last minute asking them how to make this thing happen. "I always said, if you can’t organise a party in three months sure what are you at? Then I realised when you are talking about a wedding it is different." Kathryn and Pardaig are expecting 200 of friends and family members on the day and are planning a trip abroad at a later stage for their honeymoon, she added. The pair became engaged back in 2016 but put off getting married after Kathryn fell pregnant with Ellie in 2017. "It's just going to be a big party and it feels more special now that Ellie is here to celebrate with us," Kathryn said of the wedding.
