Kate’s London apartment from her single days is for sale and you need to see the decor

In the market for a new pad in London? Willing to drop close to £2 million? Well, you could do an awful lot worse than snapping up Kate Middleton's old gaff. Kate's parents Carole and Michael bought the apartment on Old Church Street in glamorous area of Chelsea back in 2002 and are now reportedly selling up. The now-duchess lived there in 2011 with her sister Pippa before she married Prince William. The property is described as being "well-appointed" and being situated "on a favourable part" of the street, so you know it's legit. Inside there are two bathrooms and three bedrooms, one of which offers views "over the chimney pots of Old Chelsea". The property's decor is charming but fairly normal and, dare we say it, a little plain. The estate agent's images don't give away anything about the sellers (no photos of all the Middletons on holidays or books on royal etiquette) but they show that whichever family member furnished the place had fairly simple tastes. We can see Pippa and Kate collapsing back on the red couch after a busy day or checking themselves in the gold mirror before heading out for the night. Also, we were kind of relieved that one of the beds looks a little crumpled in the pics - it somehow makes the Middletons more normal.
