Kate and Wills announce Princess Charlotte’s christening date

The first daughter of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge will be christened early next month. Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge, who was born on May 2, will be christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby at St Mary Magdalene, on the Queen's Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, on July 5. Kensington Palace confirmed the news in an official tweet today:

Kate Middleton and the Prince of Wales have kept a low profile after making a public exit from the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital just hours after Charlotte's birth. William has returned to work as a pilot and the family of four, including Prince George, who turns two this month, is residing at their country pile Anmer Hall. Kate emerged briefly this week to take George (dressed in a green wax jacket that matched her own!) to Holland Park, where onlookers spotted her playing with the toddler: “It looked like she was pretending to be a monster, flailing her arms about and chasing him,” a source told People. “She was play-acting just like all mums do and he was running around loving it—he looked very happy.”
