James Middleton is reportedly set to tie the knot after proposing to his girlfriend, Alizee Thevenet. Kate and Pippa's younger brother is said to have popped the question with a "beautiful sapphire sparkler." An insider told The Daily Mail:

"They’ve got engaged. Alizee has been wearing a beautiful sapphire sparkler. "They’ve been keeping the engagement secret, but news has started to leak out among their friends. They’ll be announcing it formally next week."

The couple first met in a chance encounter last year - thanks to James' cocker spaniel, Ella. A friend told the publication at the tie that Alizee didn't know who James was when she spoke to him after saying hi to Ella. They said:

"After Alizee went back to her table, James asked the waiter to give her a note saying: 'I never normally do this, but would you like to go for a drink with me?' "He also picked up their tab. A few weeks later, they went out for a drink together. "It wasn’t until after they’d met for a drink that Alizee realised who he was — one of her friends had to tell her. They met thanks to Ella."

The 32-year-old broke up with his ex girlfriend, Donna Air, at the start of 2018. They had been together on-and-off for five years.
