The recall of the popular product has been relaunched.

The Swedish furniture giant has renewed their recall on 29 million chests of drawers in the US and Canada after another child was killed in California. IKEA is recalling the Malm chest of drawers after it claimed the life of another child after it fell on top of them. A toddler in California became the eight child in America to have been killed by falling drawer units and it has raised doubts as to whether IKEA is doing enough to inform their customers about the recall which was first made in June of 2016 The company is now advising customers to secure their units to the walls or to return them to a store. The product recall currently only applies to US and Canadian customers, however, there have been multiple calls for other customers to get a wall-mounting kit to ensure their units are safe. Since 2002, eight children under the age of three have died after an IKEA dresser fell on them.
