The husband of Facebook executive and bestselling author Sheryl Sandberg died suddenly on Friday. Dave Goldberg, who was CEO of Suveymonkey, was discovered by is brother lying in a pool of blood near a treadmill at the Four Seasons Punta Mita Resort. Officials believed he collapsed while exercising and suffered a brain injury. He was immediately rushed to Hospital San Javier in Nuevo Vallarta, but later lost his fight for life. In her bestselling book Lean In, Sheryl Sandbergh described her husband of eleven years as "my best friend, closest advisor, dedicated coparent, and the love of my life." Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg described Mr Goldberg, 47, as "an amazing person, and I'm glad I got to know him." A statement from SurveyMonkey read: "Dave's genius, courage and leadership were overshadowed only by his compassion, friendship and heart. "We are all heartbroken." Mr Goldberg's body has been flown back to the United States, where his funeral is expected to take place tomorrow.
