Love was well and truly in the air.

Last night aired a special love episode of The Late Late Show to mark Valentine's Day this coming Wednesday. A crowd of 200 singles were invited as the guests for the night, comedian and radio host Doireann Garrihy, Eoghain McDermott and country singer Philomena Begley were amongst the guests on the couch, entertaining and chatting with the rowdy crowd, who were up for a bit of craic on the night. But the best moment of all last night came when Tubs invited Mullingar couple James and Siobhán on stage to tell the story of how they first met at an Applegreen petrol station in Portlaoise and "prove their love for one and other". And while they took to the stage to play the game "Mr and Mrs", Siobhan went into the soundproof booth and little did she know that outside, her long term boyfriend was getting ready to go down on one knee. Awww. When Siobhan finally joined James back on stage, he bent down on one knee and said "it's really not a game show at all, will you marry me?" The audience went absolutely wild as Siobhan began crying and said yes. Beyond cute. You can watch the proposal here below. And it looks like viewers loved it too... Awwww. Congrats to the pair.
