The Beast from the East is causing more disruption.

Following Met Éireann’s announcement of another Status Red weather warning due to stay in place until Friday, March 2, three children’s hospitals in Dublin have announced that some of their services will be disrupted. Some outpatient clinics, elective and routine procedures scheduled for today in Temple Street, Our Lady’s Hospital in Crumlin and the National Children’s Hospital have been cancelled. Sharing the news on their Twitter, Temple Street Children’s Hospital said: “Parents will receive new appointment dates directly from the hospital as soon as possible.” Parents are being advised to monitor the websites of the hospitals for further updates, however, those who do turn up in the three hospitals will be seen by staff and are being told that A&E departments will remain open. This comes after Met Éireann confirmed an extended Status Red weather warning, saying: "Blizzard-like conditions will develop in heavy snow and strong easterly winds. "Thursday evening and will continue Thursday night and Friday morning giving significant snow drifts in many areas. "Total snowfall up to midday Thursday may reach 25 centimetres."
