Cow & Gate baby food recalled over fears it may have been tampered with

Several products have been affected.

A variety of baby foods made by Cow & Gate have been recalled over fears that the jars may have been tampered with. The Food Standards Agency announced yesterday that it would be recalling 15 varieties of baby foods for children aged seven months and over. The statement that was released yesterday by the Food Standards Agency reads;

"Cow & Gate and Tesco are voluntarily recalling 15 varieties of 7+ month Cow & Gate baby food jars (200g) sold by Tesco stores in the UK, as a precautionary measure following concerns that some jars may have been tampered with. The recall only involves these varieties sold in Tesco stores in the UK. No other Cow & Gate, Tesco or other branded baby products are affected."

As all batches of the products in question are being recalled across the United Kingdom this affects Cow & Gate products bought in Northern Ireland.
