Coronation Street has a lot of things going for it.

It's dramatic. It's been around since the dawn of time. It's got a team of writers that aren't afraid to give Bethany Platt legit the worst time in the world. And as of recently, it's also apparently going a banging special effects team. During one of this week's shows, viewers were shocked, stunned, and very impressed indeed at the level of detail that went in to making the actor who plays Jack Webster look like he's actually had his foot amputated. Kyran Bowes, who plays the boy in the soap, has two legs. However, Jack Webster now only has one and producers had to figure out a way to make it look that way on screen. And they did a very good job at it too. Jack had his foot amputated this week after contracting sepsis. Dad Kevin had a fairly hard time of it when hearing the news, but a few people who didn't have a hard time of it were Corrie's special effects team because they absolutely nailed that SFX. So much so that viewers were convinced that Kyran had actually had his leg amputated for the show. Spoilers: he didn't. https://twitter.com/SianPxo/status/1022917889945481221 https://twitter.com/OliReading/status/1022917858311979018 https://twitter.com/I_am_KenBarlow/status/1022917879660990464 https://twitter.com/liamtoomey_/status/1022933890992889857 https://twitter.com/gazzo59/status/1022918220796387328 Give those editing lads a raise.
