Corrie fans can’t get over the NERVE of Phelan tonight

Is he for real?

Look, we're all sick to death of Pat Phelan. I'm sick of him. You're sick of him. And everybody on Coronation Street would be sick of him too if they knew he was a literal murderer. But they don't, so they're none the wiser. The whole Phelan being evil and killing everybody thing has gone on long enough. We honestly can't remember the last time that we saw a glimpse of an episode of Corrie where he wasn't shooting someone point blank in the face or being just a bit of a dick, but sure look, here we are, it gets people talking. It'll hardly come as a surprise then to learn that Phelan was up to his old tricks again this evening. He didn't murder anybody, but he did do something that's arguably worse - show up to the lad he killed's funeral. (Okay, that's not worse than actually killing him but it's still pretty shady.) Everyone was having a whale of a time remembering the beloved Luke Britton when, suddenly, who do we see chilling in a pew looking all solemn? Phelan. He certainly isn't Phelan any remorse. Anyway. As we all recall, Phelan killed Luke by shooting him and then setting his car on fire while he was still inside. It was all very gruesome and led to the onslaught of complaints ITV received about the recent levels of violence on the show. People weren't all that delighted with Phelan's actions on tonight's episode either. ...
