Medical assistance had to be called and as many as ten people were taken away to hospital for treatment after stairs collapsed at the Tayto Park amusement park near Ashbourne, Co. Meath last night. The park was open late as part of their Halloween Tayto Park After Dark event, and the incident happened at the popular new 'House of Horrors' attraction at the Park. The area was immediately cordoned off by staff, and a spokesperson for the park said the visitors had been taken to hospital as a precaution; the extent of any injuries is not known. The park remained open after the incident and is also expected to be open for business as usual today. Meanwhile, a garda spokesperson confirmed to the Independent that the Health and Safety Authority is currently investigating the incident.
