Bodies of father and son recovered from lake in Co. Donegal

Tragic news.

The bodies of a father and son have been recovered from a lake in Co. Donegal. Gardaí in Milford were called to the scene following an incident in Lough Keel, Kilmacrennan shortly after 3pm on Thursday, June 18. The bodies of one male in his 40s and a teenage boy were recovered from the lake by Gardaí, members of the Rescue 118 helicopter, the Mulroy Coastguard and Sheephaven Sub-Aqua Unit. One teenage boy was rescued from the lake. He is currently receiving treatment in Letterkenny University Hospital. The bodies of the father and son have been removed to Letterkenny University Hospital where postmortems are due to take place tomorrow. The three people involved in the incident are understood to be family members.
