Argos issue urgent recall on popular product due to electric shock risks

Argos has issued an urgent recall on one of its popular products.

The retailer, along with the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission recalled the products due to burning and electric shock risks. The product in question is a fan heater under the name Simple Value 2Kw Upright Fan Heater. Safety experts believe it could produce electric shocks when turned on, as well as start to burn. The catalogue number 730/9687 and the Model Number is FH03. It is thought that 5,000 of the fans were sold nationwide. The commission website states: "The Model Number can be found on the label (Image 2) affixed to the base of the fan heater. "If you have purchased one of these Fan Heaters, please stop using it immediately, and return to your nearest Argos store for a full refund or replacement product as soon as possible.
