Aldi and Tesco urgently recall products over possible presence of glass

And they're probably in your weekly shop.

Aldi and Tesco are recalling a very popular product as they said there was a possible presence of glass in them. According to notices issued by the Food Safety Authority (FSA), the supermarkets have pulled some batches of their Light and Dark Soy Sauces from shelves after they suspected there could be traces of glass present. An urgent recall was issued last week on a number of batches of the product and customers are being asked to return the items to store.

“Aldi and Tesco are recalling their own brand light and dark soy sauce,” FSA said in a statement. “Due to a manufacturing error, the soy sauce may contain small fragments of glass. “Aldi and Tesco are issuing in-store notices requesting customers who have bought the implicated batches to return them to the store.”
